Thumbs up Pop's Drink Table

My dear old Dad requested a small drink table to place aside of his easy chair. All he wanted was a 11" x 16" table top, 18" high. He said that I could make it however I want. So... after looking for a small table to copy on the Internet, I came up with this idea on my own. It's made out of solid oak, stained golden oak, with three coats of water based polyurethane.

I scrolled the hearts and the half moon into both legs.

You don't need to comment, since I don't like to brag. RIGHT! Only kidding!!!

If you want to say something fine, if not that's OK too.

Note: While finishing this piece I noticed this ugly looking bug sitting on my mineral spirits bucket. Thank goodness this bug is not 6' long. I know it would scare the dickens out of me.

Looks, great, Rick! I love the way the grain shows off with the Oak.

Now your Dad will have a place to put his beer while he rests in his recliner and roots for the Bills!

I really like the bug. I think they are called Assassin Bugs.
Oh yea...the table is pretty cool, too.
Just kidding. I think you did a great job. I admire anyone who looks after the elderly. There just isn't enough of that going around these days.

If you think these bugs are weird at normal size, take a look at what they would look like at 6 feet long...

Your project for Dad certainly meets his request ....looks great Rick.
Wish my Dad was still alive. Kudos for taking care of his needs.
That bug looks like it is sitting on that hoax flying balloon the kid was suppose to be in.
