Default layered project

Had this pattern for quite awhile, finally got around to cutting it. It is by L.S. Irish from the Wood Carving Illustrated message board. Three layers of 1/8 baltic birch plywood. The branches around it are trimmings from a mulberry tree; I was trying to get a primitive look. It isn't a frame, more like a border, all of it is mounted on 1/8 masonite. All in all I like the way it turned out, but more important my wife just loves it.

Hi Jerry

I really like that, it is very rustic looking. The frame/border is just perfect and, as everyone is happy with it, you have obviously got it right!

Great cutting Jerry. Your wife must be very pleased with you. The frame finishes it off perfectly.

Border of natural wood, combined with excellent cutting and layering. Looks like a winner to me!
