Default Finished Tiger Plaques

Finally got these done (earlier post in WIP). I've decided that I need a division of labor around here: I need a glue up division, a cutting division, a finishing/mounting division and most of all--I need a clean up division!

But here is a pic of the finished plaques. Big ups to Dick for a good pattern. It was my first animal portrait and for a while, I had my doubts and figured it was headed for the burn bucket, but am really glad now I finished.

Looks like "Tony the Tiger" to me Jim. Remember him? Nice job on those cuttings. Did you do a stack cut? Don't even think of getting them near the burn bucket.

It was a stack of 2 x 1/4". If I do anymore, I'll probably stack 4 and use a different blade. The article suggested spirals, but I was out, so I used a 2R. In retrospect, I feel the spirals may be touch easier/faster.

Thanks for the comment. I'm progressing in my abilities and confidence. Going to do the springer spaniel that JediScroller has on his site soon as a gift for a special friend of the family.

Default Tiger Plaques

Jim: Very nice job creating your tiger plaques. The tiger pattern was designed by my friend Ted Buzzelli specifically for this article in SSWC. When I first saw this pattern, my initial reaction was that it would be great for many projects not only carved fretwork. [I have used the pattern in a woodburning project.] You have demonstrated another approach in fine fashion. I enjoy seeing the many creative uses that can develop from scroll patterns. I have received many emails telling me of other projects where this terrific tiger pattern has been used. Keep on scrolling. Dick
