Default Dane Deer Done!!

I am moving to the brag section because it is finally done. Just have to glue the snow around the base which I will do in the morning. Heck I still have one hour before I have COPs tonight. A lot of very late nights.
I am leaving in the morning to deliver it down in the south east corner of Washington State.
I hope those of you followed this project and gave so much encoragement know how much that helped at 2 or 3 am on so many nights. So thanks again to you guys. Even got the saddle rack finished with rubber feet today.

Alan. ( can't even have a drink to celebrate, the police would send me home. Hm maybe thats a good idea.LOL.

One of the benifite of being on medication and to many nights working till 2-3 in the morning is mistakes crop up. I put the set in the coffin and closed the lid. I just got my fingers in the way, I had added 2 pieces of 2x8 inside to bolt the base to. I forgot to shave 3/4" off. so the antlers were all 1/4 above the sides. the lid would of broken them all off.
Anyway I need to pack some clothes and get going.

Thank goodness your fingers were in the way!

You did fantastic with them, it has been great to watch the progress as you made them. Thank you so much for taking the time to post all the photos as you went along.

Great Job!

Serendipitous accidents are the most important ones. Hope your fingers are ok. It's a beautiful piece you have created. I never realized that great danes came in so many colors and patterns. The only great Dane I ever saw was Victor Borge.

Yeah, way to give up the body to save the work. We'd all do the same
