| What's kept me busy for the past few days G'day all,
Can't remember if I have ever posted pics of these before. If I have I apologise.
These cars came from a pattern I got from Wildwood a few years ago.
The Truck is my design, using the cab from a pattern and I designed the tray myself.
I think the next lot I cut I'll shorten the tray a bit so it looks more like a ute and maybe cut a dog to put on the back
I also modified the open cars by putting a driver in them. |

| Hi John,
Those are so nice! You say only a "few" days? That looks like a few weeks worth for me! How do you get them so shiny?? I would love to put that kind of shine on my stuff. Great job on those, nice painting too!

| G'day Shirley,
Thank you.
I paint the running boards/mudguards seperate from the bodies.
I use a spray gun and give them 2 coats of acrylic undercoat, cut back with 320g paper between, then 2 coats of acrylic (Flat of Satin) colour.
Then position them on the bodies and glue and clamp.
When dry I give the whole thing 2 coats of gloss lacquer again cutting back between coats. |

| John, what type of gun are you using. and did you make a spray booth.
I have been TOLD that I can not bid on a unit in the govt. auction tommorrow. Its a level 2 Bio Containment downdraft work station from the university. It would make one heck of a spray booth, its listed at $56 tonight. damn thing weighs 800 lbs though. Be a tad tough to unload into the shop.
Oh well, I have till tommorow to decide how long I can live without body parts. lol.

| John, those are cool!
I bet the kids love playing with those and they must be good sellers at your sales.
I need to make something like that for our clinic at work. We are going to start seeing Pediatric patients soon and they will need something to keep them occupied.
Thanks for sharing,
Bobbi |

| Those are awesome John. I have seen the Wildwood patterns before but your painting sets them apart. I am going to share the pictures with the BC Toymakers society.
Very inspiring.
