Default I feel "factory-ish"!

Just finished up a bunch of word art and thought I'd post a pic to prove I still scroll occasionally. Patterns by Jeff Paxton. Big show next weekend, getting down to the wire!

Thanks for looking, comment/critique away.

Ahhh, nice, stack cutting hard at work yeah something that helps us all out. I do like those a lot and have cut one or two myself.

Thanks for showing off

Great stuff

I think the reason I don't do shows is the thought of having to do so many of the same thing. The only thing I have stack cut in any quantity is paper and card for Christmas cards. You said you feel "factory - ish", OK, but you finished them. I would get bored long before that.

Good luck with the sales

I love cutting out words - don't know why - but only once/pattern. Thank goodness for stack cutting! They look good. Good luck with your sales.

Can't see any fault in them . How thick is the wood and how many were stacked at a time ? If you don't mind me asking ? I stack cut 1/8 " about 4-6 at a time . I find once you get yourself in the mental zone , your finished before you know it .What was in that tabacci ! Hope to do some words in the future . Nice job . Cheers.

Thanks folks! The prep and finish work takes longer than the scrolling.

Ramjet, I try to keep my stacks at 1" or less. I used oak, cherry, and birch ply in 1/4 and 1/8 thicknesses. So, three pieces of 1/4 and 2 pieces of 1/8 per stack. Eight stacks = 40 pieces x $30 (avg price) = $1,200

Nice work, it reminds me that my season is not far away.
How long does it take you to cut a typical stack?
