Here's a puzzle I just completed: an early-American type scene from a calendar by James Wysocki. It measures about 13 x 12 inches, has 341 pieces, and is cut from my usual 5-ply poplar. When I first started making puzzles years ago, these were the kinds of pictures I used almost exclusively, and they are an excellent type to use at first because of the way they lend themselves to freehand, color line cutting. Note that all of the flags, balloons, figures, tree branches, smoke plumes, houses, etc. are, insofar as possible, cut along their color lines. I even tried to cut most of the flagpoles out, producing some very delicate pieces. ![]() As always, have phun.......Carter |

Great puzzle Carter. Just finished one of all the grandkids. The look on their faces as they started to put it together was priceless. Tom
