They all look good to me . Which did you enjoy cutting the most?

Nice work Gene - I like the idea of the woodburned detail on the salmon - are the salmon and the moose Jim Sweet's Woodimals?

Ian,

Yes they are Woodimals. The wood burning was not my idea, I can't remember if the suggestion came with the instructions, or if I had read about it when his work was in one of the wood magazines. I was pleased with the outcome also.

Gill,

That is a tough question. I really like the way a 3-D comes out of the cutoffs when you finsish and looks so much better than the pattern. Then the puzzles, woodimals, are fun to make. They were made for specific people and I am thinking about how they will enjoy them as I cut them out. I will add a short story about the Salmon. The Cladagh recognizing my Daughters Anniversary took me almost 8 hours to complete. It was challenging to keep the lines all crisp, and the curve consistent. So in answer to your question,

Gill,

The Salmon was made as a present for my brother-in-law and his wife. He is a retired game warden. I carefully wrapped the assembled puzzle with the base removed in foil, created a label on the computer identifiying it as Smoked Salmon, started listing the ingredients you might find on a real label, and towards the end, started making whimiscal ingredients. Fooled his wife, as she was reading it, but he caught on as he read the ingredients. We all got a good chuckle out of it, and now when they look at it they smile. Gene
