Nice looking box. How large is it? It looks perfect for your cuban cigars.

Trout,
Now that is one of the nicest mouse traps I have ever seen ..... But how do you get them to crawl in ?

Seriously, that is sweet ! I'm learning how to scroll but I can't build for squat !
....nothing ever matches up
I'm impressed ....good job man !

Default the size...

the box is 7 inches long, 5 1/2 wide and 2 3/4 deep...
as for it being a practice piece, I had a nice looking piece of oak that I had left over from my handcuff project and when I saw Gill's post this weekend about her boxes I thought I would give it a try..
there are a couple screw ups but you wouldn't know it by looking at it...

I'm giving this box to a buddy of mine who is having a 50th birthday party next weekend.

This is going to be the 3rd piece I have given away this week...

It's lovely, Trout. How did you cut the finger joints?

It's a nice box, did you scroll cut the fingers? Is the top plywood wrapped in oak, or a solid board?

very nice indeed Trout, that is some very good quality work, your joinert is very good with what appear to be good tight joints, did you by chance use a jig to do them and if so was it a home made jig that you would be willing to share? keep up the awesome work
