Default Bowbox

Cut from a scrap piece of 2x6 this box is pine and is 3in x 3 1.2 in x 1 7/8 in tall ( not counting the ribbon. The bow is 1/4 maple applewood ply. Finished with tung oil and shellac. Thought I would try something a little different this time.

I like the way the lines on the bow looks. I have a lot of small pieces of ply and it doesn't have any holes or spaces in the layers so it might be an interesting thing to try. It's beautiful. Have a great day Fay

Great looking Bow Box, DW. Sure a different way of making the bow, but very effective.

Thanks for the comments folks, the bow is real easy to make. It is just a bunch or oval rings glued on the top of the box.

A different take on this type of box. I like the plywood ribons. It is projects like this that make throwing scraps of wood away very difficult.
Very nice!
