Default Polydraw

The nice thing about writing your own tools is that you can change them when you want. I have been working on a very complicated design that requires 51 polys. Polydraw only allowed 32. Well not any more, it can now accept up to 64 and I may bring it up to 128. The new design will go up to 120 polys.

Dave, can't imagine anything that complex. Don't forget to post pix when the project is completed.

I love Polydraw, but use it primarily for the first ring. Definitely a vast improvement over cookie cutters, though! And invaluable for minis.

Dave, I love your Polydraw and will gladly contribute to its support.

It does a great job on rectangles, and can make some adjustments so that the interior corners can be sanded.

Would really like to see a design with 54 polys. I don't believe I've gotten above maybe 12.

I use the polys for drill marks. I set the radius to .02 and then use the offsets to move it where I want it. This makes little dots.

Set the radius to .032 and polyorder to 1 and you get little diamonds.
Set the radius to .1 and the polyorder to .1 and you get little plusses.
Set the radius to .02 and the polyorder to 10 and you get little squares.

That is four different types of drill marks for drill different drill types.

I am designing a advent tree. It is made for 2 pieces of 1/4" 12" by 12" baltic birch ply. I make 24 rings the are triangloid and you stack them up to make a tree. Also included is a star for the top of the tree to be placed on top of the tree on Christmas day. I would include the plans but I plan to submit for the design contest or maybe a article.

What the heck, Dave, do both the contest and the article.

I sort of envision a 12" wide by 12" tall tree, sort of an inverted basket Probably not the right concept, but it would make a tree shape.
