inside out "Orb" - Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts Message Board

This project is the brother of the "Orb" I posted a couple of months ago... it is made from 4 half-bowls (poplar) but oriented "inside out" compared to the other. In these pics, it is sanded very smooth, but no finish has been applied.
It got a 4th Place ribbon at the SAW Expo in the Open_Complex category.

Excellent Spence. You should have gotten higher than 4th though.

Must have been some pretty tough competition or some uninformed judges for that to only receive a 4th. I can't imagine trying to cut the bowls in half and gluing them back together so perfectly.

Cosmic man, too bad you did not do that kind of stuff in the 70's. They would have sold like hotcakes.

I haven't even begun to make bowls yet. I do have Carole's books, just not enough time/courage.
