In the August 2012 Creative Woodworks & Crafts ( the other guys ) they had these birds made from golf balls. The ones I made were based on them. The only scroll work were the wings, head feathers and in one case the head/beak. Painted with acrylic. DW |

You really did a nice job on those, I saw them in the magazine but wasn't to impressed, but seeing what you did,hmmm. Thanks for sharing will have to look into them-Jim

I did up a couple from the pattern for a friends upcoming golf tournament. I also added a piece of the wire drilled into the wings and beak and then drilled into the golfball to make it a little more unbreakable. It has been my experience gluing stuff to a gold ball breaks easy. Loved the project. Arthur |
