Default Bowls

I have had Carols book now for about 1 1/2 years and finally tried some of the basic bowls. These are fun and so easy to do with Carols instructions. I will try for some of the more "fancy" ones later on. I used wrc on two and aromatic cedar on the other two.
Any comments are welcome.
Fran

Well done on these bowls Fran. They look super. The wood tones really sing.

Now aren't you sorry you waited so long?

They look great, Fran, and no one would guess they were your first. And I think the more you get into bowls, especially the "fancy stuff", the more fun you'll have.

Way to go! Congratulations on a great start.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Carol, I have wanted to jump in and make these since getting the book, but "life happens" I was so busy with other things at the time, I put it off for awhile. Then last year (April 2011) I found out I was highly allergic to yellowheart after breathing a bit of the dust and just in the last 3 months been able to really do anything in the shop.

Very nice Fran. I have made a few of those bowls from Redwood...I am very allergic to Cedar...the end results were about the same look.
