These two boxes are the most difficult thing I have attempted to make, lots of mistakes.
There is a saying in Yorkshire " A Bad workman always blames his tools"
Well I blame my rotten bandsaw for not cutting straight, this has caused me a lot of problems. I have made three attempts at making this box and never been able to complete it fully.
It is supposed to consist of two drawer compartments and one larger top compartment. As you can see one consists of a top compartment and one drawer
with a inlay design, the other has just two drawer compartments with a overlay design.
I don't think I have the heart to make a fourth attempt.

If you didn't tell anyone what they were supposed to look like, no one would ever know you had a problem. On their own, they are very nice projects.

Harry these are not mistakes on your part. These are great. A pattern is only a guide to the project. Folks make changes to them all the time. I like the boxes.. Thanks for sharing them with us.

I think they look great Harry.
Your work only looks bad to you, we are all that way.
Keep up the good work.

There's not a thing wrong with them. I can see what you see, but not many other people would, and even if they did I doubt if they would pick it as a blue.

BTW, I truly like all the boxes.

I find boxes a challenge to make, I like your first one the best, but the second inlay one looks nice too. What did you have such a hard time with? Thanks for posting your photos, love to see what others are working errrrr playing with.
