Default Another one drawer box

Playing with more ideas on boxes.

A small, one drawer box of my design. Made from Kiaat and Hemlock. 5 1/2" by 3" by 2 3/4" high. Finished with tung oil finish and wipe-on poly. Drawer interior flocked red.

Never heard of Kiaat until I saw some in a store and had to try it.

Ron, really neat design, and nice execution. Do you have any pictures of the back, since it just seems to float from the front view? Thanks.

Thanks Carole. I am making one small change to the design for the next time I make one.

Also, added a view of the back. Only change I would make there is to use vertical grain for the back to make it a little stronger in case there is excessive pressure on the top (like my granddaughter might sit on it).

What a cool design - it's almost like having a hidden drawer! Love the choice of wood, as well - VERY nice project!
