Default 4 drawer box

Created from Poplar and Oak. The drawers are flocked in wine colored flocking. Finished with semi gloss lacquer.

Very nice DW. Was that done with a scroll saw or band saw? Care to share any clues as to where the pattern came from?

The pattern is mine. I used construction ideas from other drawer boxes I have made in the past and it was all done with a scroll saw. The key to it is to take your time when cutting it out so that you are accurate when cutting out the drawers. I used a #9 Ultra Reverse to cut the drawers out. The more accurate you are in cutting it out the less sanding you have to do in the drawer areas.

It really shows you have a work of love there. I have just started making a 2 drawer box cut on the scroll saw. Did you have to do allot of glue up on this box. The one I am making now ends up with 3, 1" boards glued together plus the 1/4" front and back.

What is the size of your box?

Good job DW.

Am just finishing my first box with drawers. Lots of pieces, and it only has two drawers.

Very nice, DW.
What are the dimensions, please?
I think I can only cut about 1 7/8" on my scroll saw so, I'd have to cut each
piece and glue them up rather than the band-saw method.
God Bless! Spirithorse
