Default Oval bowl

Pattern from Steve Good. Thanks, Steve.
Wanted to try this before I ordered Carol's book, just to see if I could do it.
Made of pine with eastern red cedar bottom and lid. Gave it to my best friend for a candy dish.
any comments welcome
Fran

Fran, your bowl is lovely. The cedar works beautifully with the pine--such a great color! I'm sure your friend was delighted to receive it. No question at all about whether you can make a bowl. Isn't it fun to watch the bowl emerge from just a flat piece of wood? It's still magical to me.

Fran, your project bowled me over! Very nice indeed. I had to order Carole's book this morning. I hope Fox Chappel printed a lot cause I have a feeling it is going to sell like hotcakes.
