Default Wooden spoon

I have been away from the saw for a while-haying time in Wyoming! Made this spoon for my cousin for her birthday. Made the pattern and then scrolled out the spoon. With a little carving, and a coat of butcher block oil, I think it is complete. It is my first try at a spoon. Let me know what you think.

Looks nice Brian, but I think the grain should go length wise.

Good attempt, but I think you need to round the edges of the motif all over and make sure the rim of the spoon bowl is a constant width. A bit more finishing and this project will be worth a WOW!

Thanks all for the advice. I have been really busy getting ready for Christmas! I took Mike's advice and decided to make the fork and hold off giving the set until Christmas. I know the grain runs the wrong direction, but I was just goofing off when I made the spoon. I made the grain on the fork run the same direction so that they would match. Let me know what you think!
