Default Fun with poplar and bloodwood

Sometimes it's fun to create something that has no purpose, whatsoever, just because an idea grabs you. Everyone who sees this piece has a different idea of what it's supposed to be. And I finally found a use for a piece of poplar with a lot of green in it.

Great work Carole. Looks like the tail light of a old winged Caddy.

Well Carole - I just went to your web site to see if you teach classes. There I ran into your Biscotti video - had fun watching it and forgot to check the rest of your site for classes. So do you teach classes? Where? You have some wonderful talents I would love to learn - and maybe the book will do it but classes would be fun too.

Glad you guys like it--it was fun to do. Now that I don't have to worry about a book deadline, I can play around more without worrying how it will work out.

Sally, I'm glad you liked the biscotti video. When I went to FCP to make a video about making a bowl (should be on the website when the Holiday issue is out) I brought along a big box of biscotti, and promised to make an instructional video on that.

I don't even have my own shop or scroll saw, let alone a place to teach classes. However, the video should help, and I'm trying to do demos if they're within reasonable driving distance, like the one on Long Island. I'll probably also be doing some for Woodcraft stores, but that hasn't been set up yet. And once the book is out, I'll start shooting some "tip" videos to post on my blog. I figure that I can use questions that come up on the forum as the basis for help on the blog.
