Default Lots of Firsts

Here are pictures of my first complete chess set box. It was the culmination of several firsts for me.

1) First scroll saw cut box joint project
2) First spline project
3) First Flocking project
4) First project with dividers

I also learned a lot of things.

1) when cutting box joints, on one joint you cut the line, on the other you cut inside the line.
2) When glueing box joints, don't scrimp on the glue
3) Cracking sounds when putting box joints together is a bad thing
4) When flocking, no such thing as too much glue
5) Don't oversand, you change the shape of the item you are working on
6) Chisels are handy.

So here are the pics

Nice job Jim. Yes those firsts if you learn from them. It's the seconds that get you from not learning the from the firsts.
