It's said that you have to imitate before you can innovate. Here's a box I recently finished based on the techniques in Gary MacKay's book. The box pattern is my own but the method is all Gary's. It's cut from figured maple and walnut and stands 6" high X ~4" wide. No catchy name for it, just angles box, hehehehe.

Well it seems that you are mastering Gary's technique already. Very nicely done and beautiful design! Love it!

These boxes are very cool--nice work! A few days ago my hubby and I were in Jerome, AZ. and some of the shops were carrying different styles of this type of box. I just love them. KathyRo

Nice Kevin, you did a good job. Sometimes there at the start it is hard to take someboy else's methods and do your own design with it. I guess cause it is hard, that's the way I normally do it also ![]() Tom |
