Default Boxes

Here are some boxes I made. I think the pattern was in SSWC mag a while back, but I'm not sure......anyone know for sure? Please post if you know.
Clockwise from top left, Sassafras 7 1/2' X 10" X 3 1/2"h, Ambrosia Maple same size, Ambrosia Maple 5 3/4" X 8" X 3 1/8"h and Walnut 5" X 6 3/4" X 2 1/2"h. I reinforced the corners with corner blocks.
I really like Ambrosia Maple, it has nice coloring. Critique please.

Critique?? I will gladly say what I do not like about these boxes. NOTHING, they look great! That Ambrosia Maple looks like real nice wood for all sorts of uses. This forum is sure a great place to see things that others make. Sort of like the magazine, so many new things to try. I need more hours in the day.

Outstanding Plaquerd..........those Ambrosia Maple sure are sweeeeet looking. Love them all. Did you use spirals for the veining in the leaves? If so what size?

Looks great.
I'm currently making my first box and if it comes out half as good as yours I'd be happy.

Thank you all for the kind words.

Alan
Yes, the Ambrosia Maple is a very nice wood, it lends itself well to many projects. It is also easy to cut and finish.

WD
I used a spiral on the large Ambrosia Maple one (top right), a Sears/Craftsman .032 diameter spiral, I don't often use spirals so I don't stock many. The other Ambrosia Maple one has no details, I liked the wood too much to cut it all away. The other two are veined with a FDPS #2/0, the same blade I cut them with.
