Haunted House, painted

Posted 09-10-2009 at 07:00 PM by proudrex

Here is the current state of the Haunted House. I tried painting it in greys but it didn't have any personality so I added some blues, greens, and browns. I made a platform for it with two 5w nightlight bulbs reflected by a tin foil wall behind it to light the windows, candles were too dim. I took the candles from the back and put them in front on the corners. That helped the look alot. I've still got to do some landscaping in front and put some fugurals in the windows to make it more spooky.

John, I take that as a real compliment. I've seen pics of your finished work, no way I can paint that good, so, thank you. I've painted doll houses before and found them tedious but this was fun because I could just glob the paint on. The poorer the job the better the house looked.
