no more Woodcraft for me :(

Well, the day finally came yesterday when I was "let go" from our local Woodcraft store. I saw it coming a mile away and figured I'd just wait for them to say something. I only worked part time, so the money wasn't an issue, but I really enjoyed getting out of the shop/house from time to time and talking to other woodworkers. Ah well such is life. Kevin and I are both home all day together and so far we haven't killed each other

In a couple of weeks, we'll be doing a show on the Oregon coast and Kevin's mom will be flying out from Toronto to visit for 2 weeks. She'll be our helper at the show and we'll celebrate hers and my birthdays as well.

Just caught up to this post. Sorry to hear about the transition. Been there, living through it with under-employment, but my mind is in a much better state right now.
You seem to have a great attitude about it and that will help, but I think the woodworkers of Oregon are poorer without you in the shop!Posted 10-28-2009 at 10:03 PM by Jim McDonald
