My whole introduction to scroll sawing began with the purchase of a Rexon Scroll Saw branded as a Hitachi CW-40. That specific saw felt solid/heavy, ran smooth and cut well. I loved that saw, but had to give it up (it's complicated), and in it’s place I bought the Porter Cable pcb370ss, a very close cousin, to replace it. I do like it, but the Hitachi was a better saw.
