Default Rapid REsizer guidance

Can someone who uses Rapid REsizer give me some guidelines on using it...I have a jpg file saved and want to size it to fit into a 11x14 frame and print the color in red, just easier to see the lines...but can't seem to get it to work...doesn't seem to keep the proportions correctly....tks in advance...Dennis

Hello Dennis,

First, open your pattern in Rapid Resizer.

Next, select "Edit" from the top menu area, then select Tint Red, answer the question "Yes" and all lines should be red.

Then type in your height of 11, making sure your proportional box is checked, and the width will be calucuted automatically based on the size of the pattern that you imported. you can size the "box" around the pattern by dragging the dashed lines.

Hope this helps, it is much easier to do than to explain...

BWF hit the nail right on the head. It is a very simple program to use, (or else I wouldn't be using it) Maybe is you told use what problem you are having it would help more.

Does rapidresizer work with PDFs or just regular image files? I'd just be a bit afraid to lose clarity with a regular file.

It will do PDF but you have to save it to the clipboard and then paste. The instructions are in the program itself.

My problem is in the resize, I try to put in the height & width of the pattern, 11x14, but it sounds like I only need to enter one size and it will resize from there to keep it in proportion, is that right?....Dennis

Yep. You type in the width or height and it figures out the other.

So let me make sure I got this right. I can get the program, scan a Zaffino pattern onto PC and use the program to enlarge it to a 16x20 pattern that will print out in multiple sheets that is marked so all I have to do is tape them up and go to it? I have numerous Zaffino patterns that are I can only enlarge to 11x17 at most with copier and can only frame at 14x18. There are several that I want to do and frame as a 16x20 because I think they would look better and be more eye catching.
Do I have this right?

That's correct Capt. I've used Rapid Resizer to print patterns at 16 X 20 (and larger).
MS Publisher will do the same thing in poster mode (print any size you want on multiple sheets).
