Attachments

Here comes a silly question, I have tryed to do a attachment to one of my postings. I do not know if what I did will place a picture with this. When I scroll down to "attach files" and click on "Manage Attachment" it does not work every time. When it does work I find the file to attach click on it and
then click upload.
I will try this time?????

The attachments have size limitations in both dimensions and file sizes.
You can manage them with the popup box and select the files you want to upload by browsing them on your PC.
The files dimensions in pixels have a maximum limitation of 780x780

If your files are lager than this you will have to reduce them with software like mspaint on your side before you upload them.

One trick is to highlight the pictures you want to post, mail them to yourself and save the attachments. You can set Windows to shrink the pictures automatically when you do.

If the picture you want to post is online, you can use the picture icon in the composition window. I have attached a picture of the icon....too bad I couldn't insert it

Is it possible to place an attachment in the middle of a post so that you can, for example, show a picture, then some text, then another, then some text?

If the picture is hosted somewhere on the internet, you can do exactly as you say, using the yellow envelope-looking thingie on the toolbar to paste the URL of the photo into your post.

The yellow envelope picture thingy used to work for me in this site but for some unknown reason it won't anymore. Not sure if it had something to do with downloading IE7 or not but I have a feeling it might have started before that.
Inserting live links is the same. The blue icon doesn't work for that either.

But it's no big deal and not a problem. It just takes seconds to use the appropriate html tags for either links or pictures and they work every time in any site that allows links or pics.

Bill, take a look at the Options in your User Control Panel. Way down at the bottom are formatting choices. Yours should be set to 'Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls'. Yours is probably set to Basic.
