Default Dewalt Scroll Saw

My brand spankin new Dewalt scroll saw is making a
slapping metal to metal noise. It isn't loud and doesn't effect
the performance of the saw. I'm new to scrolling and the noise might be normal. Any one out there with a Dewalt
having the same concern?

Joe, if you go through the Tools and Blades thread you will find a few topics on problems that folks were having with their Dewalts. I'd post a link but that is a notch above my skills.

Hope that helps.

Default Metal to Metal Dewalt

I've had my Dewalt for 3 years and never heard metal to metal banging. If it is brand new, I would contact Dewalt or the place I purchased it if they are local.

Good Luck......Scott

Go to http://www.scrollsaws.com/
and scroll down on the left side and click on Dewalt Tuneup for the fix for that.

So did you fix it? Which method did you use?

Using Dewalt DW788. Working on a new line of birdhouses and bird feeders for the store.

I welcome any and all ideas for bird friendly scrolling.
