how long have you been working on it...

Well Charlie, Thats quite a project! Thats a good afternoons worth of sawing, then what.,.... 2 or 3 hours of shaping, sanding, and assembling? A really nice simple one day project, and it turned out pretty darn good! It looks like it is just a little bit more difficult then the other duck you recently did. since your boys kept the other one, that means this one is for me right? It will look nice hanging here, and I'll take good care of it.
This was done on what saw? If I remember right, a saw that went from regular flat blades, to only being able to use pin end blades right? Many people dont realize that pin end blades are capable of producing nice work too. Its a lot of patience and practice, so for those just starting out, with a saw that only takes pin end blades, you CAN do great things. Take your time, Charlie is the only guy I know that could do this duck from start to finish in 5 hours! (you did say 5 hours right charlie?) It looks great! dale

Thank you Dale,

yup just a tad more difficult than the daffy one lol and only using that pin blade saw, it went kinda slow lol 5 hours for daffy I think , definetly a bit longer on this one .it did take me a bit of getting used to the pinned blades again ,was only using plain before but I think it worked out pretty well ,kinda proud of this one . Ill bet you would take really good care of as it hangs right up on your wall lol might see how much I can get out of this one and work on getting that next saw lol Ill send ya a photocopy of it so you can hang on your wall lol
Thank you

Thumbs up Nice work

Hey Charlie,

Now you know what they meant by addictive.

You are progressing nicely, this is very nice work.

Are you just exploring or do you tend to like doing intarsia more than fretwork?

So many possibilities, so little time.

Respectfully,
Marcel

Never heard of intarsia before this week, but did a Google image search and, wow, is there a ton you can do with it.

Very nice job of cutting, Charlie! It looks like you have a few types of wood in there, and have stained some, am I right? What do you use for shaping?
