Picked up a 40-251 blade clamp tonight and tried to install it on the lower arm of my SS-250. It will go on alright but won`t clear the table bolt. For those who made the quick change conversion on lower arm. Did I get the wrong one or is there a trick or modification? If it won`t work guess I have a spare for top arm. |

Jim, I removed that bolt and replaced it with one with a smaller bolt head I think I bought one at Lowe's. Once you get the lower blade clamp in it will be well worth your time. Good Luck, Bill

I want to revise my last post. I went and looked at my saw and what I actually did was bought a shorter bolt and turned it where the bolt head is facing the opposite direction it was, and put the nut on the side where the blade clamp is to be installed. This gives you pleanty of room. I hope this makes sense. Bill
