Ok guys, I'm a newbie too!!! Listen to me, I learned a lesson today, DO NOT BUY YOUR BLADES AT A BIG BOX STORE !!!!!! I've been thru about 50 blades from Lowes, Home depot, and ACE!! Please don't waste your money! Honestly.. Today I got some 'Flying Dutchman" blades... The difference is like night and day. Seriously, when it comes to blades, the big stores don't carry what you will need and if you stick with what you buy there ( at the big stores) you will soon be disgusted with your new hobby. Today a member here gave me about 15 different blades from Flying Dutchman... OMG what a difference in how I can make cuts..Sharp corners are so easy, circles come like nothing.. I'm not saying you can do this like lightening. You're gonna still be a bit slow ( as I am), but your results will be amazing.. The curves will be smoother, the sharp angles will be sharper, I could go on and on, but you need to experience the difference yourself. I don't work for any blade company LOL so I'm not getting anything for this, but guys and gals... PLEASE.. it's like the difference between a Corvette and a Nash Rambler!!!!!!![]() Good scrolling, Jack |

No doubt about it, once I went to the FD blades I sold the rest of what I had on ebay. They are the only blade I have used since trying them.

I have been using them for many many years, and I think they are very good blades...better buy a few of each size.

I'm also a big fan of FD blades but when I bought my second saw it came with part of a dozen of Ridgid blades (Like the pipe wrench) and I noticed there were stiffer which means they were harder metal and really did a great job but I havn't found any of them sence. I do love my FD blades.

I use nothing else but FD blades, I tried the usual makes when I first started but nothing compares to an FD blade.

Hey! My dad was a big Nash fan . In fact we were the only family on the block with a Nash.Shows our financial ststus as a kid growing up. He finally bought into VW's and stayed with them. Jack is right, try'em and you'll see the difference. My dad did. Roger |

Mike is the "best" hands down! Service so far as I have seen cannot be duplicated. Prices and quality of blades surpasses all others in my opinion.
