Default Delta 13" Scroll Saw

I am looking at buying a used delta Model 40-130C 13" scroll saw. Can anyone give me any info on this model. I am just starting out and don't want to spend to much on my first saw to make sure I like this type of work. It will be one of many retirement projects.

Well, tuchodi, I can only speak to the starting out without getting the saw that you would be happy scrolling with. You may not like scrolling if you get a saw that you are not happy with. It's up to you if you want to try a saw & then decide if you want a different one. Just don't want you to not like scrolling, because I think you will like it.
Good Luck. -- Perk

tuchodi, didn't know that Delta made a 13" scrollsaw. Check with Rick at Rick's Scrollsaw He has a collection of saws and a wealth of information on scrollsaws.

A caution...13" only allows you to work with a piece of wood that's about 10" deep. That's not much. At least 16" will give you much more versatility.

Have phun..... Carter
