Default Hawk 220 Blade Setting

I'm having trouble keeping my blade locked in my Hawk saw. I was using a #7 blade and it says to set it to 11:30 on the clock dial. When I do, it seems to want to pull the blade out. Can someone tell me or clue me in to what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

I'm no expert but I had the same problem and found that changing the blade tightening screw ended the problem. I tried sanding the end square and it helped but wasn't a permanent fix.

The first thing I need to know is what model of Hawk you have.
Ultra or a Pro model saw.
Hawk made different models.
I know this is hard to believe but most of the time it's not the blade holder that is causing the problem. It's an adjustment on the saw. The number one reason why Hawk saws pop blades out of holders is the brass set screw under the front cam tension lever needs adjustment. The brass adj. screw will only be in an Ultra or G426 model saws. If your saw is a Pro model you will need to have the upper arm rebuilt with a brass adjustment screw.
Hope this Helps!!
