Question To do whirligigs

Hello. I live in Sweden and have just found a fantastic fun part of the hobby woodworking. Making Whirligig. I want to make all the material from scratch, both shoulders and tree diagrams to the gland. Would be grateful if I can get help with alloy expertise on how to make metal parts as drive shaft and the characters so that they function? I also have contact with those who built and designed many of our own characters so you can teach me how to do their own drawings. Please, I would be glad if you hear from you.
One of you may even have a Swedish background?
