Just finished 2 small projects that I got out of Patrick Spielman book Fun & Easy Intarsia Projects. They are flat & painted With acrylic craft paint. My question is what is best for top coating this paint. The first one I used Krylon crystal clear acrylic I had laying around my shop. That was 3 days ago & it's still not dry. Just soft & sticky. The other one I used water based poly (3 coats & it came out fine) Any one have any suggestions on how to salvage the one that won't dry. I am inclosing pics. The man in the moon is the one I messed up on Thanks'

First let me say they are adorable. I might try a hair dryer on the low setting on the first. It sounds l ke you may be having problems with humidity. I just use deft clear coat, but you don't really need to clear coat acrylic paints once they dry they are very durable and non-toxic. Just my opinion...

Try fast drying polyurethane the next time. Or water-based polyurethane.
