Did you see these? The wolf shouldn't be too bad to cut as a first try. Stuff to Get Started With Or maybe just find a pattern you like, and put it on scrap wood, and practice the cuts until you feel comfortable with it, then cut the portrait on "keeper" wood. Good luck on whatever you decide to cut, and post a pic if ya can. Jerry

Ace, This is what I did. I had some scraps after making some furniture, went to the local bookstore and bought scrollsaw magazine. I then used some stencil spray glue, bought some new blades, and boom, one project later and I'm thinking about dropping over $600 on a new saw and sander! The magazine was under $8.00, make a copy o two of the pattern, and then give it a go. Bubba |

Cut animal puzzles. They have lot's of curves and are fun to do. And you will learn a lot cutting them.

Go to the library and check out their books for I found some good patterns there that I used starting out on . And also go to Steve Goods web site and check it out Scrollsawworkshop/blogspot.com not sure if this the exact web site address Happy Scrolling...........Marshall
