Welcome to the group Jerry74, the scroll saw is just like any other tool when you first learn to use it. Ya feel a little uncomfortable, but very soon it will become like your favorite slippers, very comfy. What brand of saw do you have? Come by often, I'm sure you will have some tips for the group too, we love to share around here. Any questions, just type away, and someone will give you some help.

Jerry74: Stay with it. I expect that being nervous at first is really a good thing. Keeps you alert and out of trouble. I don't doubt that you will soon be most comfortable with your saw and you will find many uses that you never imagined. I originally wanted to be able to cut out small animals. I went on to do a few jig saw puzzles and the other day, I found that I could cut great slots for sliding jig parts. You will likely be only limited by your project needs and imagination. Woodie |

Jerry, you can get a sample of blades from mikesworkshop.com & they are the best blades around (Flying Dutchman) I think they are anyway. You can also find a lot of information from Mike on blades & the uses of, as well as the different types. When you have question just pop in here and ask, someone will respond with help. Good Scroll'n to you. Perk
