Hello, this is my first post. I am somewhat new to the use of scrollsaws. I purchased a ridged brand from homedepot on clearence , a good deal ,I thought. Well after going threw two dozen blades or so of several different brands , I came to the conclusion that it wasn't such a good deal after all (blades kept breaking). I always remember those big scrollsaws in seventh grade woodshop, very impressive. Well I recently stubbled upon a Delta model 40-419 for $130.00, which reminded of those old saws. At a clothing manufacture that was closing there doors and selling off all the inventory. The saw is in like brand new condition with the exception of a missing blade guide assembly. Which from looking into the hexagon shaped holes that the assembly goes into, it looks as if it was never used for what ever they where cutting (small metal saw dust on saw). I done some research on they internet and located the entire assembly for a redicules figure of $350.00 plus. I found out the saw was manufactured March of 1990, which I was very shocked by the looks of it. My question is, does any one know ,where I can look for possibly used parts or what other options there are Thankyou to all that can help Leon ps. I love reading the posts , learned alot. |

Leon, go to Tool Parts Direct . com - The Online Tool Repair Parts Store Look under the Delta 40-416 scroll saw parts. The 40-419 was listed under that. The saws are listed in numerical order. One other place to look is: eReplacementParts.com : Power Tool Parts and Tool Repair Good luck.
