Default Blades

I've been doing wood for 30 years and just got into Scroll Sawing.
I am making cars and puzzles out of 2x stock and have no idea what blades to use? I just bought a Sears 18" scroll saw and tried the blades that came with it. Not bad but not what I expected. I do production work with a band saw using a 1/8 blade for my work. Are there blades that will keep up with my needs?
Thanks
