I want to scroll a name into a hammer hadle for a friend that owns a saw mill, and try putting a name on a baseball bat. I remember seeing an article about this but it was a long time ago and I can't find it. Any ideas on how to get started? Thanks.

Mh-scroller. I do know what you are talking about, and tried to find them fast for you. the artical was cutting names in hammers, and bats, But. I have tons of magazines, and I will just have to take more time. ouch on me if I am roung but I do believe it is in the CWWC magazine. I will keep looking. your friend Evie

It seems the hard part would be keeping the handle from rolling. To prevent that, can you put it in a flat-bottomed, v-shaped jig for cutting? I think most baseball bats are going to be too big around the barrel to scroll, and would be long enough to be difficult to maneuver. Cutting it in half lengthwise would fix the former (and the rolling problem), and a spiral blade could fix the latter. --Rob |
