Humm, never heard of that one. For the price of 88 pounds sterling I am guessing, no. Stick with a known brand such as Delta, DeWalt or the high end saws Hegner, RBI etcetera.

sorry but you won't get a DeWalt or a Hegner in the U K Just The cheap and nasty one's I got a dremel a year ago and I had to send it back 3 times . that cost me over £200,
all the best saw's seem to be in germany or the U S A or Canada.
well that's what I think.

Erbauer is a Screwfix brand name for a generic Chiwanese saw. It's not one that I would buy.

Hegners are available in the UK from HegnerUK in Hailsham, but they're a lot more expensive than the likes of Erbauer.

Hi David

The SIP does seem to be a popular introductory machine. Although I've never used one myself, I saw it demonstrated at a show a few years ago and it seemed to be capable.

It's a pity Delta saws are no longer available in the UK - they were great for newcomers. However, they are retailed in France if you're able to arrange an import (or a pre-Christmas duty-free run ).

It's interesting that the French Delta site also lists Fox tools. Fox scroll saws look rather like Delta saws and are definitely available in the UK (from Hobbies of Dereham, for instance). It may be more than a coincidence.
