Jess
About the amps, I also have the dewalt, and a while back I was making saw dust and bound up the blade, I shut the saw down and cleared the jam, When I tried to restart it the saw had blown a fuse, so in other words I was trying to draw too much amps, I am not sure how old your saw is, but an older saw, or if you are trying to use extension cord will draw a higher amperage, so keep a few spare fuses on hand. Please remember that this is a safety feature built into your saw, so if you keep blowing fuses something is wrong! If you keep tripping your breaker you are running to many applainces on the same circuit.Hope this helps!

Hi Jess,
I too have a Dewalt and enjoy it very much. When asking for blade advice please be aware this is VERY subjective and dependent upon your personal style of cutting. The best advice I received was to experiment with different types and manufacturers of blades. One that has not been mentioned here are the Pegas blades (I get mine from Ben's Scrollsaw (Bens Scroll Saw.com) )

One thing you will find to be consistent is that Mike, Ben and the folks at Sloans are very easy to work with. I have asked very basic questions and have always had very informative responses from all of the folks mentioned.

Next best advice, have fun!!!!

Cheers.

Chris
