| Top feeding on Dewalt 788 When top feeding on my DW788 I seem to have trouble with the lower blade guard getting in the way. Do most of you who top feed on the 788 remove the lower blade guard?

| I didn't know there was a lower blade guard until right now. I went and looked and sure enough there it is. It has never interferred with top feeding though, the blade shouldn't come anywhere near it. If you line up the drill hole with the top blade holder, the blade should practically drop into the lower blade holder, without any interference.

| Why would anyone need a blade guard down there, unless someone sits to close to the saw when useing it. YEEEEOOOOOWWWWW . But don't worry. It only cuts a little bit. ![Cheeky Smiley 006[1]](http://www.scrollsawer.com/forum/images/smilies/cheeky-smiley-006[1].gif) ![Cheeky Smiley 006[1]](http://www.scrollsawer.com/forum/images/smilies/cheeky-smiley-006[1].gif)

| Wood Dog I find that I put the blade in the top clamp first but not real tight and then the lower one. And get that bow. I just redo the top clamp and am fine. |
