Default Hello Fellow Scrollers

Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum and would like to introduce myself. My name is Dean and I reside in Warren MI. I have been scrolling on and off for a few years. In the last year I've been scrolling as much as I can. I got a newer Dremel scroll saw that made a world of difference from the old craftsman I was use to using.

I like to do intarsia but, I am trying my hand at some fret work. I have a blog where I show some of my work. I just started it so the pictures are recent projects. As I finish projects I will post them on my blog. I also use it for interested people to look and hopefully drum up some orders to help fund this hobby. There is a lot of wood and more tools that need to be bought!!!

Hope to meet some people in my area so we can start a scrolling club. I belong to the metro woodcarvers club here and Michigan. I would love to get together with some scrollers and share info. Till then I'm going to lurk through these forums and absorb what I can.

Again, Hello to all and hope we can chat about scroll saws

Welcome to the forum Dean, great idea about the scrolling club, that's something I wish we could get going here in the Dallas, Ft. Worth area. Good luck getting it going.

Welcome aboard, I believe theres a few local clubs up your way in MI you may want to search out.I think theres a list on Scrollsaw Association of the World of clubs ,you may check that site for a list of them, could be one in your own backyard!

Welcome...I tried to check out your blog thingy but it was taking way too long to load. There is deffinitely some clubs in your area. Track down Bruce Worthington and he'll know who to talk to. I think 5-10 % of us here are Michiganders...probably the largest scrolling group here..still waiting for a 52 state poll to be taken about that.
