Default A bad Saturday afternoon!

AHHHH! I was almost done with my first project and my scrollsaw quit! It was a second hand sawI picked up at auction a couple weeks ago. It wasn't much, but at least it was a start into the world of scrollsawing! Apparently it had some loose bolts that I didn't find. Pretty much all at the same time, the tension adjustment knob broke and the table came OFF. Fortunately I wasn't injured, because the linkage from the arm to the motor decided to fly apart at the same time as well! Oh well, now I have an excuse to get a better saw to learn with! I just hve to wait a coupe weeks until I get back off my honeymoon.

and sorry for the loss of your scrollsaw. Mine went belly up too, and my vacuum - guess this was a day to stay out of the shop.

Perhaps it was a sign that you were paying too much attention to the saw.... heaven forbid....but remember you can always make great gifts to remind her that you are still thinking of her Well once you get a replacement saw.

Thanks for all the encouraging words folks! I was cutting out a picture frame surrounded by hearts for her when it broke, so it wasn't too hard to talk her into letting me get an upgrade. So I've got the wedding this Saturday, then a week in Tennessee. Anyone know any good woodworking stores around Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg? I'll drop in when I can and check on the boards, but I'll be pretty busy for the next two weeks. Have fun everyone! Josh
