| Delta P-20 parts Hi- I am new to the scroll saw. I just purchased a used Delta P-20 that is in need of a little repair. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the following:
1. Does anyone know the correct screw size for the Delta Quickset II blade clamp adjusting screw. I thought it was a 10-32 but that doesn't seem to fit. So, I 'm thinking it might be metric?
2. Any ideas what the diameter and pitch are for the material holddown clamp adjusting screw? The prior owner jury rigged a 1/4-20 but that is definitely too small.
I'm going to try and get replacement parts from Delta, but in the meantime would like to use the saw.
My main reason for purchasing the saw was to aid me in making miniature puzzle boxes, but I am interested in all aspects of woodworking.
Thanks in advance for any help.

| Hi, and welcome to the Forum!!
Not the answer you were asking, but Amazon.com carries the QuickSet II blade clamp, as well as others sites. Amazon.com: Delta 40-251 Quickset II Scroll Saw Blade Chuck: Home & Garden
And yes the Quick set screw is metric.
Delta and Porter Gable Service Parts web site. It is hard to find this link, which is labeled "Untitled": Untitled Page
Aside: in upper left hand corner is a search box--type in Scroll Saw and then look for model of your P-20.

| While I don't have the Delta P-20, I do have a Delta SS350 which also uses the Quickset II blade changing feature.
1. The adjusting screw is a metric "M4 x 16mm Hex Hd screw". I have had to replace mine more than once.
2. I can't help you with the holddown clamp adjusting screw. Most people remove this holddown, as I did, because it is usually in the way and it is easier to hold down the material with one's fingers.
Good luck on getting replacement parts from Delta. They have been bought out by Porter-Cable. When I tried to get some spare parts, their web site indicated that the parts were discontinued and would not be replaced.
I hope this helps some. Silver Sliver |

| rstermer, I have a P-20. The parts list says the adjustment screw for the hold down clamp is part # 901-03-010-0229, 1/4-20 x 1/2" HEX SOC HD SCREW, also a 1/4" flat washer and a 1/4" lock washer. Try Mike's Tools - Woodworking Tools, Metalworking Tools, Power Tools, Cordless Tools, Used Tools - Mike's Tools if you don't have any luck with Delta. Top of his web site click on Delta tool parts.
Most scrollers remove the hold down clamp, just use your fingers. Good luck with the parts.
