Wink Air Brushing

I make a lot of Christmas ornaments, most for my air brushing I do in the garage it works out that is in the cold weather not good for drying.

I am looking for some sort of small spray booth that could be set up in the shop and broken down when not needed.

Does anyone on this site know of a portable spray both argument.

Thanks

If I had enough space in my workshop, Jim, I would set up one of these for all my finishing. Perhaps something similar might be suitable for you too?

Hi
Necessity is the mother of invention. You can buy "portable" spray booths, but they are incredibly expensive, so I made my own. It would be great to spray outside, but a - there is always stuff floating around (bits of pollen, flies, bugs etc) and b - it is often too cold and/or damp to do this outside.
Mine is a small, booth that folds up more or less flat with a bathroom extractor fan that goes out of my shop window. I spray on wire trays (either chicken-type wire or old oven trays). I will take photographs tomorrow evening and post them.

Cheers

Sue

For water base paints I show how to make one using a range hood and the filters it came with. Small unit that breaks down for storage. Since a range hood is not explosion proof it should not be used for flamable paints.
Rick's Scrollsaw then on the left index go to Shop Tips, Paint Booth.

I've not tried this but it seems workable. Get a shower curtain rod large enough to surround a free-standing bathtub and a wide curtain. Fix one side rigidly to a wall and the other side to a ceiling joist. Gather the curtain up when not in use and it should stow away without taking up floor space.
Corner rods are sold everywhere but are not cheap. So how about making your own using PVC and a really wide shower curtain?
