Default Looking for Firefighter plaques and patterns.

My wife an I have joined the local County Volunteer Firefighters Department. However it's "Paid On Call" here so we actually get paid when we go on a call, and we get paid for the training we're going through now.

I'd like to offer some plaques and other award type things to the department so I was wondering if someone can direct me to some great patterns. I don't mind paying, but free is always better. haha.

Thanks,

John Patrick

I like the book by Mike and Vicky Lewis. Have also found alot from Wooden Teddy Bear. That is where my avatar came from. They also have trucks and Helmet patterns. Hope this helps. The Wooden Teddy Bear, Inc. has alot of patterns not in their catalog.
David

PS must be nice to get paid. my department is all volunteer.

Remember that the most valuable piece of equipment on the truck is the one on top of your shoulders.

Judy Gayle Roberts has a great intarsia pattern of a firefighter. I made one for our local Volunteer Fire Dept. It's in my gallery if you'd like to see what it looks like. I changed the number on the helmet so it would reflect their actual station number.

Hi John, I haven't read the other posts, here is a link Wood Carving Illustrated - How To Magazine for Carvers on this site which has two FREE patterns for Firefighter's. They are actually carving patterns, but could be converted for your use.
