| First post ! pin end blades Hello scrollers,
I have a Dremel 16", 2 spd, #1672. It looks to me like it will only take pin end blades. Can anyone confirm this? I'm waiting on manual from Dremel.
If I have to use pin end blades, where can I find the skip tooth and reverse tooth? Thanks for your help.

| I am sure I had the same saw years ago and bough the holders to take ordinary blades. It was quite a fddle, as I remember, because you had to take the blade out of it's holder to thread it. Pin end blades will not go through the very small drill holes, but they are OK for the bigger stuff.
When you get the manual, all should be revealed.

| You can always , drill a hole in a piece of metal the size of the pin and knock it out then use a safety pin or other type pin once it is thread though the project . sounds like alot to do but ;You got to do what you got to do

| Just tap the pin out of the top of the blade.

| ...and then put your pin (safety or otherwise) through the hole in the blade top after you've put the blade through the hole in the wood...
(that's a bit of a mouthful....)

| Sloan's You might also try Sloan's Woodshop http://www.sloanswoodshop.com/scroll_saw_blades.htm
I like buying stuff from them because when you call you get a real person (usually one of the owners!). Because I am still fairly new at this, I like talking to somebody who will guide me in the right direction for a purchase. I recently ordered some wood from them and received it within a week.

| 1 week new to this< help pls. Very new one week so this may be very simple for all. I am trying to figure this out. In working with some designs I find that I can not seem to get a pinned blade into small areas. and if a trick how do I get a thin enough hole so i dont ruin the design. example a 1/16" slot or arc. what is a good technique or tool. |
